Ontario still says there is no mover licence

As of September 2026, Ontario’s hiring-a-mover page still says the province does not license movers as movers. A CVOR is a trucking credential, not a gold star.

Check insurance, WSIB where it applies, and a name that matches the van. The Canadian Association of Movers is a trade group, not a licence.
