This is the third time that I have used Alternative Movers in Manchester having first used them for an office move back in 1999. When I moved home in 2002, I used them again and they did a great job at a fair and reasonable rate. I stayed put for nearly twelve years, but when it came time to move again, I called them up and once again they did a great job, turned up on time and really went out of their way to make my move as seamless as possible -- despite some difficult issues. My moving in date changed - they arranged to store my furniture and made extra drop off and pick-ups for my very large houseplants. The lift in the old buidling was acting up on the move out day and they took this in stride. In the new place, they helped move some existing furniture/fittings that was not really part of their job. All in all, a highly professional and friendly service -- just what you need when moving house is potentially so complicated and stressful. It is also worth mentioning that two of the staff that moved me in 2012 had aslo moved me in 2002 and 1999. A company that keeps staff over that period of time must be doing something right (I'm told that two of the others had still been there till a year or two before when they retired!). I highly recommend Alternative Movers. *it's worth noting that the price I paid included moving out > delivery to storage > reloading from storage > delivery to new home.
