Job Offer.

I got a job offer in Seattle and needed to move quickly. City made things happen and they packed my things and started moving my things in a few hours. They packed my things carefully and once I arrived to my new apartment they delivered my things and unpacked them for me on schedule. I recommend their services if you need to make a move Without any hassles.

I had to move again for work and this time to Seattle. Luckily I don’t have more than a studio worth of things. City did a great job for me again and I had no issues at all. This time they also transported my car for me and the cost for the move was quite reasonable.

City was prepared on how to make our move as easy as possible from When we first called them. We were moving from Palm Desert to Las Vegas and really needed a reliable moving team that wouldn’t cost too much or be overly complicated to deal with. City met our needs well and worked with us closely during the process to make sure everything went smoothly. The cost was fine considering the personal attention and the care they showed with moving our things. There was no loss or damage or any other issues during the process.

Great work from beginning to end really. I was referred to City to handle my move to Hawaii and it needed to be done quickly and also included moving 2 vehicles. Everything lined up well from when I first contacted them and there were no surprises along the way. They met my expectations and there were no bait and switches regarding additional costs or time needed to complete the move.

A friend in Hawaii referred me to these guys. They didn’t a great job on my move from La Jolla last week. The cost was fair and they were approachable and easy to work with. The quality of the packing materials They used was quite good and none of my things were lost or damaged.

The team arrived on time and well prepared. There were ample workers to get the job done well and quickly. We didn’t have a lot of things but the things we have are quite high-end and needed a lot of care. The cost was well worth the quality of the work provided.

City came through for me and my family during a fairly last minute move last week. We had an entire household and two vehicles to move as my husband got a job transfer to Honolulu. One issue we had was initially two fewer movers arrived at our property on the day of packing and moving but that was quickly rectified when I contacted the Parke they manager. She sent out two additional movers to assist right away. The cost was fair and we would recommend their services.

If you want your things lost, if you want to be lied to on a regular basis, if you want to lose money because you were counting on the shipped items to rent a condo you had purchased, then these floosies are your company. I was promised at every phone call that it would take 3-4 weeks for my things to arrive in Honolulu. It was double that time. Then they lost a mattress, and an antique bed footboard which was irreplaceable. And if you call them to find out what is going on, they ignore you and don't get back to you. 1) They have your money. 2) They have the small print the absolves them of any wrong-doing, they can blame any number of other entities for their incompetence, and 3) they will not help you through the stressful process of moving once they have your money. That's all they want: the money. And then you can go take a flying leap because they will not be there to help you. They will ignore you and they could care less what happens to you and your stuff. They, in effect, are giving you their middle finger.

Fine movers, bad customer service.

City Moving, while nice, were overall not good at their job of moving our stuff from A to B. Overview: Movers were fine, nice and fast but had minor damage on a few things. Customer service was an absolute mess. They failed to change vital information despite repeated attempts do so including not updating half our estimate and trying to charge us $2,300 more because of it, and almost sending our things to the wrong address (that was misspelled to begin with). Overall, I'd choose someone else. Further details below. The deets: The movers were on time, nice, and professional. They also slightly damaged our most-prized piece of furniture among other things. It happens but that side gets a 3/5 - they're cheaper and we can repair most all the damage. Customer service was horrid. They were kind, but unfortunately ineffective. We had to change our destination for the move, and had to inform City Moving five times because, despite telling them on the phone, in print, and through their official forms, they never changed the address until the day before because I asked them about it. If I hadn't, there's a great chance our things would have gone to the wrong place. The estimate process was another headache. When calling for an initial estimate, the rep said all that was needed was a rough estimate and the large pieces of furniture - *this is false* - be very thorough as every sq. ft. not in that estimate will be 2x as much day of. This would have been fine, except I had tried to update our estimate when we found out we had more to pack. They never updated the estimate and I only avoided paying an extra $2,300 because I had in writing that I had been trying to update it - so *get everything in writing*. This, paired with them downplaying the importance of the estimate initially…

We moved from LA to Hawaii with another company and everything was perfect. Moving from Hawaii to Idaho was a disaster. I opted for the 100% insurance coverage just to be sure. We were given written instructions on how to pack. No problem, we used lots of good packing material. Aside from being late, all of our boxes arrived crushed, all our dishes, glasses, anything breakable, broke. Our metal bed frame was bent, our computers and monitors were smashed, I took over a hundred photos of the damage. We were then told that they are denying any liability because we packed our own boxes- as they instructed us to do. When I produced the instruction sheet they said the best they could do was refund our insurance premium. I got my premium back but suffered easily $15,000 in damage. They did give me $32 for our $2500 memory foam mattress that was soaked in water like a sponge.
