Based on a recommendation I hired Elephant Moving Co to move my two bedroom apartment and was totally pleased with their service. They were courteous,careful,and worked efficiently. All my goods arrived safely,and the cost was even less than their quote. Also I had purchased boxes from them prior to the move,and as advertised,they refunded the purchase price.

The second time Elephant moving co have moved us in the last 3 years. We have a large nice home and we feel we are getting a premium service at a reasonable price. Everyone is skilled congenital and hardworking. We have referred them to a family member and a friend who both had very good experiences. We move frequently and are thankful that we have found a company that we trust and are happy with.

Some time ago Elephant Moving brought to the public's attention that competitors were gaming Google. Google gave priority to companies based on their proximity to the center of Los Angeles, so bogus companies obtained a "virtual office", that is a phony office near the center of LA consisting only of a receptionist who answered calls to any business that claimed that address. Those companies also wrote hundreds of reviews for themselves so full of praise you wondered why they didn't receive a noble prize. After exposing those companies ridiculous reviews began to arrive claiming Elephant was a bunch of alcoholic thieves. The claims of police reports can be easily disproved. Visit any police station and you will find that no such reports exist. Google got wise to the practice, changed their search criteria, and threw out the reviews. This cite continues to print them.

Elephant Moving Co is hands down, the BEST moving company you will ever use. They packed my Santa Monica apartment on Sunday the 21st then loaded and delivered my goods to Cathedral City on Monday the 22nd. Being an incurable collector, I have a massive amount of ceramics, glass, art, rugs and antiques. The crew of Saul, Daryn, Jan and Leo were especially fast, hard working, accommodating and careful beyond reproach. The spoon holder from the kitchen stove was given the same care in wrapping and shipping as the irreplaceable crystal chandelier. All accomplished with great attitude and personality. They were all very appreciative of the coffee, pizza and tips. The best part of all, absolutely nothing was broken, scratched or dented. These guys are dynamite and I definitely recommend them.

4 men showed up in 2 very ancient trucks. all seemed ok until we got to our destination. the lead man was drunk and abusive to the workers. my career wardrobe was left w most clothes hanging onto other clothes and many items on the floor. I was missing a large suitcase then we started looking around and my husband was missing many of his expensive tools and a large coffee can of change. (i know we should have put this aside) we kept finding things missing as we unpacked. there was no way we could have watched everyone and they were mostly friendly. moving is stressful and we feel we were taken advantage of. we reported them to the LAPD but they got off. never even consider these theves!!

Elephant Movers Steal while working.

Like others that have posted complaints, we too went to the Los Angeles Police Department and filed a criminal complaint and a theft report -- we even identified the employee that stole our credit cards out of our car (and then used them). They stole jewelry, money, they would distract my wife and me and then one mover would go into another room to rifle our possession. They used a knife to cut through a scuba bag to get items out of it - it was locked. We have serious damages to several antique pieces of furniture and Don doesn't return phone calls and lies. When he finally gave us a check it bounced. The police made him send a money order - so he sent $50.00 rather than the over $500.00 owed. Don also later claimed to police that he didn't know the names of his workers, he picks them up on the street and uses friends of friends. He knew the name of the man that stole our credit cards - police said he was lying and they later made him admit it. This happened a few years ago and we've never got over how little the police did and what horrible thieves these guys were. They even stole a film camera out of a box and the tape that was in it - tape of my children. Avoid Don Tonty and Elephant Movers - there were literally over 100 bad complaints about them on Yelp but Don Tonty complained to Yelp and made them remove the bad reviews. Trust me, these guys are BAD, BAD, BAD people and very dishonest.
