Great moving company ! I've moved alot in the last 7 years and In and Out Moving did a perfect job. I moved from Ohio to Arizona and received a really good price. Great communication from beginning to end. I would recommend them.

I wish I could give zero stars. I used this company in November 2019 for a long distance move and had a great experience with the person who booked my move and the movers who loaded my things on the truck so complients to that team and booking individual. But once I was almost to my next home, 7 days later and expecting my delivery rhr next day as I requested this day as my delivery, upon calling to confirm the arrival time, Zoe informs me she is not aware of where my truck is and when it will be to my new address. No one explained that my requested delivery date starts the delivery window. That is definitely something you inform a customer of and be able to locate their belongings. She did not call back the bext day as promised so I of course had to do the calling and leaving messages to stress my unhappiness with their service. Seven more days later after sleeping on the floor thr movers (contractors) arrived and were extremely rude and here's and charged me an extra 200 for my stairs. Fast forward to cover 19 and losing my job, I had to move out of my new location to go back home. I figured I'd give them another try, my mistake. After looking at others long distance movers this one seemed the best for cost and availability. I looked 3 weeks in advance and received an estimate while waiting on my unemployment to come through. Again the booking agent was such a delight and very customer focused. I was informed from day one that a truck was available and that they could accommodate my move. But the owner, Zoe --again, waited until the day that I was making my deposit payment and had my estimate confirmed for the final time (6-7 days before my move) to call back to inform me that a semi truck was not actually available and I would need to pay an extra 300.00 to cover…

Worst moving company ever.

My girlfriend used this moving company several years ago and had a great experience so she recommended we use them. I wish we had looked at all the recent reviews though because the quality of this company has significantly decreased. The 4-man, hourly moving crew arrived over an hour late because the truck broke down on the way to our apartment, not a good sign for things to come. Loading things from our old place into the truck went smoothly and took about an hour. We purchased a bedroom set that we wanted to pick up on the way to our new place, something Carlos (the owner or manager) told us ahead of time wouldn't be a problem since we were paying by the hour. When we brought this up to the movers they argued with us and said they had a busy schedule that day and couldn't make any additional stops. After wasting time arguing (at $134/hour) they finally agreed to it. Picking up the bedroom set was quick but they took a very long and indirect route to get to the new place, adding more time/cost to the overall move. The real issues began when we arrived at our new home. We have a 2 piece sectional couch that breaks down in 2 equal halves, the first one they moved without any issues but the 2nd one took almost 2 hours because they got it stuck in the stairwell then the doorway/hallway. While 2 of the movers fought with the couch causing significant damage, the other mover and 'foreman' stood around doing nothing. They could've used the other stairwell to continue unloading boxes/small furniture. This also added a huge expense to the hourly move. They also caused a large amount of damage due to negligence/laziness including: 1. The door frame and hinges into our apartment unit were bent so now the door doesn’t close properly. 2. Large pieces/gouges in the second bedroom…

I received a reasonable quote from them, less expensive than most others - that should have said something. The move was scheduled for Halloween 2017 with an estimated arrival time of 2pm - 4pm. I called and spoke to Carlos at approximately 4:30, since no one had arrived yet and no one informed me they would be late. Carlos let me know there had been a problem with the moving truck at the previous location - that he had to go change spark plugs on the truck. When the movers arrived, they apologized for being late, they said they had been double-booked, nothing to do with spark plugs. The lead mover started off complaining about having to work on Halloween when he wanted to be there with his kid to go trick-or-treating. They started the move. For this move, I was simply moving around the corner of the nearby intersection. For some reason, they decided to take a joyride in between the two locations. I had gone over to the new place and was waiting for them for at least 15 minutes before I called. They answered their phone and said they had gone to get something to drink and not to worry, they wouldn't charge me for this time. What happened to the guy that wanted to go trick-or-treating with his kid? Not only that, but they were late to arrive and then decided to keep me waiting more. They were absolutely horrible with my furniture. They broke the top part of my floor lamp completely off. They lost: Dog food Wall clock Dust pan w/brush Screws for bed Stole a "Day of the Dead" wreath from my new neighbor's door Dog ball thrower Alarm clock Christmas decorations Vacuum They damaged: Scratched TV stand Cracked my AC and broke off the side panels Took a chunk out of my dresser Left marks on the nightstand Left marks on the headboard and foot board of my bed I found my curtain…

In and Out moving, Conover, NC headache on wheels.

If you're looking for a safe, damage free move do not use In and Out Moving in Conover, NC all It was a bad joke from the start. Under bid the job then loaded my furniture and said it would cost more. Nothing was wrapped or protected so damage resulted. When I filed a claim (after paying for full insurance coverage) they refused to cover it saying it was either caused by something else or not within their time window to file. The move cost me 2X more than the highest bidder after factoring in the damages and fee's and I was left with a mess to repair. Save yourself the headache and hire a pro. I wouldn't hire them with your money.

In & Out Nightmare.

I had confirmed just a few days earlier that 3 movers would arrive by 8:30 since the $250 elevator was only available between 9 and 11. 1. They were supposed to show up between 8 and 9am, so at 9 I called In & Out and Ellie answered. She said the movers had already arrived so we needed to wait a few minutes for them to arrive on my floor. 2. At 9:15, I called Ellie again who stated that the movers were on their way and would be there in 10 minutes. I asked her why she told me they had already arrived to which she responded that I made up the story. 3. At 9:30, I again called Ellie who said she would check with them, but said I should call the movers myself. She gave me the number and quickly disconnected. 4. I had to call the movers to find out they would not be there for another 20 minutes. 5. Two movers arrived at 9:50 so I called Ellie again and asked to speak with a manager. Carlos answered and said the guy that was supposed to be on my job was killed in a warehouse fire that day. I said that it was obviously awful, but wanted to know when a substitute would arrive since two movers would take so much longer and thus cost me more than the 3 would have. He said a substitute would not be coming and if I didn't like it, I could cancel the move. Obviously this was not an option. I had to pay for another time block for the elevator because they were late and did not bring the appropriate resources. 6. The two movers were good, but there is only so much they can do when the bottleneck is the elevator and how quickly it is loaded and unloaded. 7. Carlos the manager showed up and helped move the couch and in doing so gashed a corner, scuffed the ceiling, and banged into a halogen light which subsequently caught fire. 8. The rest of the actual move was uneventful, but when…

This is a terrible company. My brand new washer and dryer legs are broke off and dents and scratches all over. All our pots and pans are gone, the movers ask for tips repeatedly. Once they put all your property on the truck, your price you were quoted triples. Ten hours to get 2.5 bedrooms worth of property, I was finally given the price. When we came to the conclusion the price was ridiculous to just cancel the move, I would forfeit my $600 deposit and pay $400 of labor to get my stuff off the truck. So, $1000 down the drain I was quoted for 57 c.f.. when they got here I was only covered for 380 c.f. this was a very bad experience. The call center is VERY rude. Do not use them!! I'm and out is a scam.

Where to start? I did not want to use this company because I was worried about all of the 1-star reviews. Due to an issue with my new condo, however, I didn't have much choice as reputable company availability dried up. Everything on the scheduling end was fine. When the moving started, however, so too did the problems. I had a three person crew to move a one-bedroom apartment three blocks down the street to a much bigger unit. The movers quickly went to work, and I thought everything was going well - but I was admittedly distracted by cleaning the apartment as they moved (I had done 95% of the packing - they just needed to disassemble furniture). When we went to leave, however, I noticed that the door would no longer close to my old apartment. The movers had broken the apartment door off of the hinge by forcing a roll of tape into the corner of the door and then forcing the door open. Even that wasn't the worst that happened. When we arrived at the new apartment they could not figure out how to reassemble the furniture. Great - that's the only reason I hired movers. Finally they told me they figured it out - WRONG. When they left my fiance and I were unpacking and we noticed that my italian leather sectional (prized possession which cost my $5k two years ago) was ripped and scuffed in several places (and even had a hole in the leather). I was livid. Then I inspected more materials. A dresser that came with an attached mirror was never attached to the dresser, and instead wedged between the dresser and a wall - so when we moved it, you guessed it, the mirror came crashing down - Great. I also noticed we didn't have my golf clubs. I called the company and complained and they said they didn't have them on the truck. Then I said I saw them move them, and I just so…

Awful Moving Experience.

I read good reviews and hired them, but it was the absolute worst experience for many reasons. I moved from Chicago to NYC in May. A few things happened during that move on 5/8/15: 1. They did not deliver 3 boxes. I contacted them that day to let them know the boxes were missing. I also called the driver that night to see if any boxes were left in the tuck - he said no. Then finally on 5/14, after a lot of back and forth with unhelpful customer service reps who cannot be reached by telephone, I received an email with pictures of my boxes. I confirmed that they are mine and asked for them to be delivered. It took until 5/21 to receive received the boxes. At this point it is past the agreed 10 business days to deliver them. No apologies were made for this inconvenience.2. I had the movers put my 46" LCD TV in it's original box and pack it for the move. It was fully functioning before the move and was only a few years old. When we took the TV out of the box on 5/8 and plugged it in we found that the entire TV screen was cracked. There should not have been any reason for this to happen as they packed it up for me. Pictures are available to show the damage.3. I unpacked a box that had a pillow at the bottom. As I pulled out the pillow I smelled something like urine. Holding the pillow closer I noticed yellow stains on the bottom and on the box. My fiance confirmed that it was definitely urine like. I couldn't even take a picture I was so disgusted. I just threw it all away. After all this I tried to talk to the company about compensating for the TV and what they can do about my lost/ruined things. All they said was to file a claim withmovingclaims.net. It is now July 29, 2015 and I have not heard from In & Out moving and only received an email from Moving Claims saying they…
