Atlanta moving cost September 2026
A local 2-bedroom in Atlanta, as of September 2026, sits in a $1,200–$2,600 research range. Midtown elevator clocks and I-285 timing move that number more than a bedroom count.

| Home | Local research range | Longer haul research range |
|---|---|---|
| Studio | $500–$1,050 | $2,200–$5,000 |
| 1 bedroom | $800–$1,600 | $2,800–$6,200 |
| 2 bedroom | $1,200–$2,600 | $3,800–$8,000 |
| 3 bedroom | $1,800–$3,600 | $5,200–$10,400 |
Planning range, not a bid. Research fallback compiled in September 2026 from published industry tables and public quote examples. Haulest does not yet have a large enough first-party sample to publish a median. A phone survey still wins.
On the ground
Atlanta prices access and humidity. Midtown and Downtown high-rises want a COI, pads, and a named window. Older bungalows in Grant Park and East Atlanta have tight turns and a truck that stops a block short. I-285 timing decides whether a local hop stays local. Interstate out toward Miami or Chicago is a real line-haul. Ask for the USDOT. Georgia household-goods rules do not replace FMCSA once the truck leaves the state.
A Midtown building that only gives you 9am to 11am will not care that the Connector was already a parking lot.
